Frequently asked questions

General

Where can I set up my Saunder tent sauna?

Pretty much anywhere you’ve got level ground and a bit of space. Backyards, lakesides, campgrounds—if you can stand there, you can sauna there. Just make sure you're clear of overhanging branches and flammable materials. Safety first, sweat second.

Is there a warranty or return policy?

Yes. Every purchase includes a standard 30-day satisfaction guarantee, and a 1-year parts replacement on manufacturer defects. Customers are responsible for return shipping. Reach out anytime and we’ll walk you through the details.

Are floor boards or benches included?

The classic combo kit includes the sauna tent, wood stove, and sauna rocks. We don’t currently offer a bench or flooring system, but we’re working on adding those options soon. In the meantime, we’re happy to recommend third-party products we’ve used ourselves.

How long does it take to set up?

Once you’ve got the hang of it, under 5 minutes. Seriously. The tent pops up, the stove assembles easily, and you’ll be heating up in no time.

What’s the tent made of? Is it safe for high heat?

Our tent is crafted from high-performance, heat-resistant 450D Oxford nylon. Durable material that can handle the heat, with reinforced heat shields where it counts.

How hot does it get inside?

With the wood-burning stove fired up, you can expect temperatures up to 200°F (93°C), depending on conditions. Plenty hot to get your sweat on.

Can I use the sauna alone?

Absolutely. Solo sessions are great for meditation, relaxation, or just sweating it out on your own terms. Just always ensure proper ventilation and follow safety guidelines.

How do I clean and maintain the sauna?

Let everything cool completely before cleaning. Wipe down the tent interior with a damp cloth, empty the stove’s ash drawer, and ensure all components are dry before packing away. Store in a cool, dry place to keep things fresh.

Is the Saunder tent sauna suitable for winter use?

You bet. Our tent is designed to handle cold conditions. Just clear away any snow before setup, and enjoy the contrast of the cold air and the sauna’s warmth. It’s an experience like no other.

Can I pour water over the sauna rocks?

Definitely. That’s how you create steam and boost the humidity inside. Just don’t go overboard—a little water goes a long way.

What type of wood should I use in the stove?

Dry, seasoned softwoods like pine, spruce or fir are best. They burn hotter and cleaner, giving you the optimal sauna experience.

Can I leave the tent set up permanently?

Yes. While it's designed for portability and temporary setups, you can leave it up for extended periods. Just be mindful of sun exposure to the fabric, and weather conditions including wind and snowfall.
